The firm is building 406 apartments across a series of blocks on Kent Street in the city, backed by investment house Edmond de Rothschild.

Winvic began enabling works on the former site of the Kent Street Swimming Baths in April 2021. Construction shortly after.

The project comprises 154 one-bed, 228 two-bed and 24 three-bed apartments across reinforced concrete slip formed cores and frames rising to seven, eight, 10 and 18 storeys.

There will also be a basement car park for 95 vehicles, green roofs, commercial space, and a central courtyard with community hub.

Works to the roofs, Steel Frame System and window installations are halfway done. First fix M&E works are also underway.

“It’s particularly rewarding to reach the topping out stage of a RC Framed building and we were delighted to be able to celebrate this important milestone with our client and the funders,” said Mark Jones, Winvic’s Director of Multi-room. “We’ve been working as one team with Edmond de Rothschild to ensure progress is on track and the people of Birmingham will now start to see the brick slip façade envelop the buildings.”

Winvic is scheduled to hand over the scheme in 2024.
