SPT Systems in Driffield is moving to a bigger premises and doubling its workforce after receiving the financial boost from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
As well as modular, the firm makes energy-efficient luxury lodges and caters mainly to leisure parks.
It specialises in structural insulated panels (SIPs) which can be assembled to create anything from park homes to domestic and commercial properties.
SPT Systems was founded in 2019 by Craig Carmichael, a former military engineer who also runs Kepi International, a contractor with projects in the UK, Afghanistan, Kenya and Iraq.
The funding will also enable SPT Systems to start a night shift and increase its workforce from 50 to 100.
The firm has more than £127 million worth of orders in its pipeline, it claims, mostly from the leisure industry.
