The firm is partnering with Liverpool housing association Torus to build around 1,200 new homes at the 170-acre Peel Hall site.
It is understood 595 of those will be classed as affordable.
New public realm and sports facilities are also proposed.
Countryside plans to use three brands on site – Linden, Bovis and Countryside.
It is also understood the firm will use its modular construction factory in Warrington for delivery.
Torus has around 40,000 homes in its North West portfolio. It has committed to 5,600 more over the next five years.
The scheme is expected to complete in 2029.
Countryside was recently acquired by Vistry Group in a more than £1.1 billion takeover, putting the mega-merger on competitive footing with other Housebuilding and Partnerships Housing giants in the sector.
The firm is also partnering with housing association Riverside on the regeneration of the Calverley Close estate in Beckenham, having received planning consent from Bromley Council.
