Two hotels and a new apartment block have been proposed in a bustling area of central Bristol.

IKB Developments aims to construct three new properties on a currently empty plot of land next to the Floating Harbour at Temple Quay.
Plot 3, next to Temple Meads station, was earmarked six years ago for a huge conference centre. That scheme has since moved to Temple Island.
- 234-room hotel (8 storeys)
- 168-room extended stay aparthotel (7 storeys)
- 108 Build-to-Rent apartments (11 storeys; 20% affordable)
Ground floor commercial space will host new retail and restaurant chains and have a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’.
A new public space and ecological zone will also be created.
The site, owned by Homes England, has been vacant for approximately 30 years, according to planning documents.

An Employment and Skills Plan has been agreed with Building Bristol.
“There is a strong desire from Homes England, Bristol City Council and other key stakeholders including WECA (West of England Combined Authority) and the TQEZ Spatial Framework team for development to come forward,” a planning statement reads.
