The firm has partnered with the James Hutton Institute to construct two innovation centres at Invergowrie, devoted to furthering global food security and crop resilience.
The deal involves construction of a combined Advanced Plant Growth Centre (APGC) and International Barley Hub (IBH), part of ongoing redevelopment plans at the Scotland estate.
Procured via the SCAPE Scotland Construction Framework, the deal is backed by £17 million from the Tay Cities Region Deal, a partnership between the UK and Scottish governments and public and private organisations.
M&H recently completed the state-of-the-art International Barley Hub Field Centre at the James Hutton Institute campus.
“This new facility will serve as the key research hub of the facility and is set to bring around £60 million benefit and over 1,200 jobs to Scotland over the next 10 years,” said Colin Campbell, Chief Executive at the James Hutton Institute.
