UK investment firm, Buckthorn Partners and US private equity company, One Equity Partners (OEP) recently finalised the acquisition following an October 2022 announcement.

  • £400 million sale
  • Estimated £245 million equity value

Although Ferrovial has sold its UK services section, the Spanish firm will likely retain its UK waste treatment businesses.

“Buckthorn and OEP will invest in Amey to strengthen and grow the business and to access new opportunities, particularly in energy transition, where Amey is particularly well placed to support the UK’s net zero ambitions,” said Buckthorn.

Andy Milner was appointed Amey CEO.
