National Highways chooses Tarmac for five-year deal

Tarmac has secured a new road maintenance contract with National Highways over five years.

The firm will maintain, repair and renew roads across England as part of National Highways’ Pavement Delivery Framework.  

Tarmac’s contract will span from Norfolk and the West Midlands to the Scottish border.   

Its focus on innovation in technology and commitment to social value were key factors in securing the deal.   

  • Patching and surfacing 
  • Pavement construction 
  • Roads and pathways maintenance 

“Against the backdrop of the climate emergency, a key focus will continue to be working to drive the decarbonisation agenda, while delivering a durable and highly resilient asset for road users,” said Nick Shires, commercial director at Tarmac. 

The contract starts in April 2023.
