East London’s new ‘tower cluster’ – 837 homes

Telford Homes will deliver the new Chapel Place scheme in Ilford after receiving planning permission from the London Borough of Redbridge. 

The two-hectare site was formally the Britannica Works factory – later Ilford Limited  for Ilford photographic film.

  • Seven buildings (nine to 36 storeys) 
  • 837 new homes 
  • 447 student rooms

  • A new central park  

The new homes will be a mix of Build-to-Rent, London Affordable Rent and Intermediate tenures (35% affordable). 

The scheme will also feature the “largest piece of greened public realm in Ilford”, part of a 6,800 sqm area.
