Plans to build a major mixed-use scheme in East London have been approved.

Telford Homes will deliver the new Chapel Place scheme in Ilford after receiving planning permission from the London Borough of Redbridge.
The two-hectare site was formally the Britannica Works factory – later Ilford Limited – for Ilford photographic film.
- Seven buildings (nine to 36 storeys)
- 837 new homes
- 447 student rooms
- Landscaped roof terraces
- New retail spaces
- Work and leisure spaces
- A new central park
The new homes will be a mix of Build-to-Rent, London Affordable Rent and Intermediate tenures (35% affordable).
The scheme will also feature the “largest piece of greened public realm in Ilford”, part of a 6,800 sqm area.
