VolkerFitzpatrick has won a £174 million deal for London’s largest film and television production facility.

Hackman Capital Partners (HCP) and affiliate, The MBS Group selected the developer to construct Eastbrook Studios, in Dagenham, East London, across a 26-acre site.
Inside the deal:
- 12 sound stages
- Three-acre backlot
- Offices and ancillary space
- 500,000 sq ft footprint
New steel framed buildings will be to BREEAM ‘excellent’ standards’, the firm said.

VolkerFitzpatrick will employ local supply chain firms and provide local area employment opportunities, including placements and apprenticeships, during construction.
An estimated 1,200 new jobs and £35 million a year will be added to the local economy.
“Our continued investment in the area will deliver significant and necessary additional infrastructure to meet the demands of the UK’s booming creative industries, while creating generational opportunities for the local community,” said HCP chief studio and real estate officer, Jason Hariton.
The studios will be completed in 2024.
