Midgard to deliver £200m Birmingham Skyscraper

JRL Midgard has been selected to deliver the Midlands’ first skyscraper.

Inside the deal: Standing more than 154 metres high, One Eastside, Birmingham will be a 51-storey skyscraper and the city’s tallest residential tower. 

It will house 667 build-to-rent apartments and be located near the new HS2 station on Curzon Street in the city.  

When built, it will be the “largest economic residential deal in the city’s history”, valued at £200 million, said developer, Court Collaboration.  

One Eastside: 

  • two buildings (also a 16-storey block) 
  • residential gardens and courtyard 
  • gym and cinema 
  • sky lounge on the 51st floor 

One Eastside will create more than 300 jobs, and a student academy for work placements and on-site opportunities.

Target completion date is the third quarter of 2026.
